North Wales has a rich history just waiting to be explored, take a short drive out of the park and you could find yourself at one of the many castles located nearby.

During the 13th Century King Edward I set upon building his 'Iron Ring' of fortresses following the first Welsh War, today we can see the results of his ambitious campaign dotted throughout North Wales. Take a trip to Conwy, Rhuddlan or Denbigh Castle, Conwy is perhaps one of the most famous and well preserved castles in the UK. You really will feel like you have been transported back to medieval Britain.

Take a drive over to Bodnant Gardens, an idylic oasis set over 80 acres of National Trust protected lush gardens, which houses the stately Bodnant Hall.
